Cinderella Hairspiration

To celebrate the premiere of the brand new film this March, we’re going crazy for all things Cinderella!

We love a new Disney movie, and this latest adaptation of fairytale classic ’Cinderella’ (starring Downton Abbey actress Lily James as the leading lady) offers us glitz, glamour and oodles of perfect princess hair.

Lily’s two key hair looks for the movie are a soft, boho-twist style (pre-fairy godmother transformation) and a stunning curls and glitter combo (for the grand ball).

Discover how to recreate the beautiful tumbling curls style with our latest ‘get the look’ video. This hair look is the perfect ‘do’ for when you fall into the arms of Prince Charming as the clock strikes midnight.

Seeing the latest Cinderella hairstyles inspired us to take a look at a few other ‘Cinders’ styles from previous films. Do you remember Brandy’s corkscrew curls (Cinderella – 1997), Drew Barrymore’s braided style (Ever After – 1998), or Hilary Duff’s prom-inspired demi-do (Cinderella Story – 2004)?

Which Cinderella wins your vote as THE ultimate princess-hair heroine?

Our top tips for achieving any princess hair look are plenty of volume, gorgeous curls and a few ‘sparkly’ details for a finishing touch.

Great Lengths GL Apps are a fantastic option for boosting volume. These tape-in extensions can be colour-matched with your hair for a seamless blend, and can last for up to eight weeks.

For adding a little sparkle to your style we recommend our Swarovski Crystal Elements ‘Diamond Threads’ – six genuine crystals placed along a thread, which is bonded into your hair to add subtle sparkle and instant glamour.

So grab your glitter, your curling tongs and your hairspray and experiment with beautiful, big, crown-worthy hair that would make Cinderella proud!

Psssst – Fancy getting your hands on a gorgeous Great Lengths goody bag? Between 13th and 20th March 2015 we’ll be hosting a ‘Glass Slipper hunt’ right here on the Great Lengths website. Simply seek out the slipper, and when you find it, click on it and enter the competition. Good Luck – may your wishes come true!
