Great Lengths Galore at Dublin Horse Show

Earlier this month, we were head over heels with excitement as we headed to the prestigious Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show in the RDS show grounds, for Ladies Day.

Ahead of the event we proudly announced our sponsorship of the ‘Most Creative Hat’ award, and we weren’t disappointed by the amazing array of headwear on display!

On the day, over 550 ladies queued up to enter the various style competitions, all hoping to take home the sought-after prizes and accolades. One entrant was 80 years old, and another had travelled an astonishing 15,000km to take part!

After hours of judging, the winners were finally announced – you can see the full list here.

The delighted recipient of the Great Lengths Most Creative Hat prize was Linda Morrison from Co. Kildare, who wowed the judges with her hat by Irish milliner Carol Kinnelly, and a 1940s style luxe wedding dress from Hayworth in Dublin.

Linda was awarded with a 1,000 euros voucher for Great Lengths hair extensions plus a 1,000 euros luxury voucher for The Europe Hotel & Spa in Killarney, Co. Kerry.

During the (surprisingly sunny) day we also scoured the paddock and Grandstand areas with Beaut.ie’s editor Andrea Kissane, in search of a ‘Best Tressed Lady’. You can see all of the photos here.

The day was filled with awe-inspiring hairstyles – we saw barrel curls, stylist chignons, beautiful up do’s and long and loose hairstyles to boot! We think a few people had definitely been inspired by our races day ‘get the look’ guides!

But the winner on the day, as chosen by the team at Beaut.ie, was Emma Hanratty from Newry. Her neat chignon style was elegant but modern, and worked perfectly with her beautiful pastel outfit. Emma walked away with a goody bag full of Great Lengths Aftercare products and a 250 euros voucher for Great Lengths hair extensions.
