International Fashion Weeks – best looks of SS16

Now we love a gorgeous dress as much as the next person but we have to admit that the real reason we had our eyes on all the international fashion weeks was for the stand out, catwalk worthy hairstyles and we were certainly not disappointed…

Beautiful Bouffant

It takes a lot to blow our minds (hairstyles speaking) but Jeremy Scott’s SS16 catwalk show did just that. With models supporting rich brunette and platinum blonde curled beehives reminiscent of Brigitte Bardot, styled with lashings of black eyeliner and bright coral lipstick – we were in heaven! To achieve a truly ‘out of this world’ voluminous style such as seen on the likes of Gigi Hadid, why not opt for our GL Apps. Perfect for achieving that added bit of oomph, these tape-in extensions are ideal for those wishing to experiment with a new style without committing to a long-term change.

Smooth Texture

Smooth texture was the order of the day on the Burberry catwalk at LFW. Now we know what you’re thinking, how could a look be textured yet smooth? Let us enlighten you… whilst the models hair had a very free and natural feel, it was also kept under very close control. To ensure that your locks remain tamed whatever the weather, why not spritz your finished style with our natural-hold Soft Finish Spray.

Hair Accessories

Now we love a good hair accessory, and the headscarfs on the Dolce and Gabbana catwalk during Milan Fashion Week caught our eye for all the right reasons! Styled with a gorgeous, textured bun, the chic scarfs were worn in variety of different ways, showing the versatility of this must-have hair accessory. Textured buns have always been a favourite style of ours – we particularly like it when wispy tendrils are teased out to frame the face. To keep your locks manageable, try our Pearl Gloss Styler.

Sweeping Fringe

Perhaps taking inspiration from Victoria Beckham and Kate Middleton’s brand new bangs – heavy, sweeping side fringes were the order of the day on the Giorgio Armani MFW catwalk. Perfect for adding movement and texture to a look, this style ticked all the boxes for us! Long side fringes can take time to grow and blend into your natural hair so to avoid this awkward in-between stage we would recommend blending our Base Shades pre-bonded extensions into your natural hair to give you an extra bit of length and volume, and aid the formation of your new fringe!
