SS15 Fashion Show Hairspiration

Its time to take a look at the must-have hair looks from the spring/summer 2015 international fashion shows, and we couldn’t be more ready! Here at Great Lengths we love getting our fashion fix but more importantly, we love being inspired by all the different hairstyles on the catwalk! Everyone wants to look like a catwalk queen so we’ve selected our top 3 looks, and a few tips to help you achieve these for yourself.

Giorgio Armani’s Punk Braids

We all know how big braids have been so far this year but then the hair-team backstage at Giorgio Armani SS15 took things to the next level with punk braids!

We couldn’t love this look more; it’s fierce, feminine and delicate all at the same time.

To achieve this look, partition a rectangle of hair from the forehead to the nape, split into two vertically and plait each section close to the head starting at the front and moving down to the nape. Pull the rest of the hair back and secure all together in a low messy bun. We recommend spritzing hair with our Great Lengths Soft Finish Spray to add more texture to the overall look and to help hold your punk style in place. It is important that the hair is not too soft or freshly-washed here, or it will simply fall out of formation.

Emilio Pucci’s Beach Waves

Beach waves have always been a firm favourite with us and we practically went weak at the knees when the hair team at Emilio Pucci created perfectly styled, long beach waves with a centre parting for their SS15 catwalk look.

Beach waves are perfect for the summer months, but to make sure yours look as fresh and effortless as the ones on the catwalk, it is important to firstly keep your hair in tip-top condition. Here we recommend the use of I.C.O.N’s India Oil, which, with its rich exotic ingredients is designed to nourish and pamper the hair to deliver unbelievable health and shine from root to tip. Finally, to create loose, effortless waves we suggest winding hair (in alternate directions) around the barrel of a Cloud Nine curling wand, for a beautiful beachy style.

Calvin Klein’s Ballerina Buns

Last but by no means least, Calvin Klein’s ballerina buns had us staring wide-eyed with hair envy! To pull this perfectly pretty look off is no mean feat, and we would propose enlisting the help of our Great Lengths Super Shine Spray. Use it to refine the finished look and fight frizz – vital when re-creating such a tamed style.
