Zig-A-Zag Hair

You may not have rocked this look since high school (and hidden any photographic evidence since) but you better believe us when we say that crimped hair is back! We’re not talking poodle frizz, we’re thinking more cave girl chic! A welcome change from beach waves and a little added ‘oo la la’ for lank locks.

Showcased at Stella McCartney’s SS15 catwalk show in Paris, this blast from the past has got us so excited that we’re willing to give it a second chance. Adding casual volume, texture and that essential ‘va-va-voom’ to the limpest of locks, this style can look shockingly sophisticated.

Crimped hair - Stella McCartney

While we couldn’t love the LOB (long bob) any more at the moment, this crimped style really isn’t one that lends itself kindly to short hair – sorry Britney! To add extra length to your locks, blend our Classic Base Shades extensions into your existing hair, giving it a depth of colour and increased length and volume.

Alternatively, experiment with your style by adding our Flowstrands hair extensions, which result in a two-tonal, dip-dyed effect, plus add length and boost volume.

Once you’ve applied your crimps, seal their shape with our Soft Finish Spray – this gives hair volume and shape without weighing upon it like most hairsprays.

Crimped hair fashion

And crimped hair is not only for those wanting to wear their hair down, it also looks great when worn in a ponytail or a messy bun. So wherever they may be – up in the attic, in the garage or squirreled away in an unused draw, get your crimpers as far away from the car boot sale as possible! Crimping is back in fashion and we’re loving it.
