100% You with GL Lovely Indy Power

We recently caught up with GL Lovely Indy Power, author of the cookbook and blog The Little Green Spoon.

Indy started her blog in 2013 to share her love of food and went on to study Nutrition & Health Coaching at the Irish Institute of Nutrition & Health. Indy combined these skills with her own personal philosophy – that the way we eat and the ingredients we choose transform the way we look and feel.

In her exclusive day-to-day diary, we learn why Indy loves her Great Lengths pre-bonded extensions and how they fit in with her active lifestyle, making her feel 100% confident every day!

MONDAY

I always start the week off with a workout. I get up and go first thing in the morning and head off with a cup of green tea in hand. I love that I can throw my Great Lengths up into a high ponytail and don’t have to worry about the bonds showing – they are so discreet. After the gym, I ease myself into work by answering emails over breakfast. Then it’s straight into scheduling social media, editing photos etc.

TUESDAY

Today I’m writing and photographing my column for the Irish Independent. I start by having a shower and washing my hair. I blow dry the roots and just leave the ends to dry naturally, I love the way the extensions go wavy like my own hair. I spend the morning cooking and shooting the recipe and the afternoon writing.

WEDNESDAY

Another morning in the gym with my personal trainer. I have meetings right after so I run home for a quick shower. I can often get away with not washing my hair after the gym and just tying it up in a ponytail. Even after the gym it still looks nice and bouncy.

THURSDAY

Today is a long day of recipe testing and photography for my website thelittlegreenspoon.com. Days in the kitchen like this fly by and before I know it I’m home from yoga and showering before dinner. On Thursday nights I usually blow dry my hair and curl it, I love how it looks the next day after sleeping on it.

FRIDAY

After the gym I head into town for an interview. If I’m having photos taken, the curls from last night are perfect so I don’t need to get my hair done. I bring my laptop and work in a coffee shop for the afternoon editing photos, writing recipes etc. Then I meet my husband for dinner near his office.

SATURDAY

Saturdays are usually very chilled for me, lots of nice food, dog walks and coffee. I treat myself to a blow-dry so I can relax before meeting up with friends.

SUNDAY

Sunday – there is always a big walk. My hair is usually tied high on top of my head in a bun! Then it’s back home to snuggle up by the fire and zone out before the week starts again.

My hair has always been a big insecurity of mine as it’s very thin. I get Great Lengths for thickness and volume and I’d recommend them to anyone who struggles with thin hair. They make me feel so much more confident and 100%. They’re really low maintenance and each time I get them removed my own hair has grown and thickened a little bit more. I love that they dry like my own hair and look so natural.
