Our Christmas Survey Results Are In!

Christmas parties, festive family time and selfies galore – we all want to make the effort to look our best during holiday season! And our recent survey has confirmed the Great Lengths women go to, to let their hair down at the end of the year.

77% of women said that they devoted more attention to their appearance in the run up to the holidays due to attending parties, having their picture taken and catching up with friends and family.

91% of women buy new clothes specifically for the festivities, with 89% of women spending over a week looking for the perfect Christmas office party outfit! We can sympathise!

In a perhaps surprising statistic, the survey revealed that exactly 50% of women would choose function over fashion for their outfit on Christmas day, proving that half of women out there find that comfort is key when you’re eating turkey!

69% of women admitted that they will get their hair tended to professionally for the silly season, including colour, cuts, blow-dries and extensions. 76% of women will treat themselves to more than two professional beauty treatments in the run up to Christmas including hair, nails and tan.

75% of women who took part in our survey will ask their partners, families and friends for beauty products this Christmas, and 35% of women will hint for hair-related gifts including hair extensions, hair tools and premium shampoos and conditioners. Other common present requests this year include face serums, perfumes, make-up palettes and vouchers for spa treatments.

And we’re not shy of treating ourselves to festive glam, with 53% of women spending between €200-€300 and 14% spending in excess of €400 with beauty treatments including hair top of the list!

The study also disclosed that 50% of women look to bloggers and magazines for style and beauty tips, while the remaining 50% don’t follow trends and like to stick to their own style.

Finally, the survey where results were surmised results in Ireland, unearthed that in a world of Kardashians, women are still looking to the ultimate hair queen, Jennifer Aniston, as their main hair inspiration with Blake Lively, Cheryl Cole and Irish VIP Roz Purcell also featuring heavily in the poll!
