Golden Globes 2018: Five Favourite Hairstyles

Last night’s Golden Globe Awards were a little different, with an all-black dress code dominating the red carpet. Stars stood united, making a statement to support the victims of the sexual assault scandal that recently hit Hollywood.

With their outfits lacking in colour, celebs turned to hair and makeup to switch things up. Here’s five of the best stand-out hairstyles of the night, from some of our favourite women in Hollywood.

Katherine Langford

The 13 Reasons Why star, Katherine Langford, nailed her first Golden Globes. Her gorgeous dark hair was pushed elegantly to one side, with soft curls adding plenty of volume. It was Katherine’s stunning diamond headpiece, however, that had everyone talking. Making an impact, the accessory added plenty of sparkle!

Halle Berry

Amazing as always, Halle Berry kept things effortless in a half-up, half-down style. Her wispy fringe completely transformed the look, framing her face and emphasising her enviable cheekbones.

Emilia Clarke

Still in full Khaleesi-mode, Emilia literally lit up the red carpet with her platinum blonde hair. Instead of the mother of dragons’ iconic tousling braids however, she went for something much more structured. With her dark roots just peeking through, and bold brows contrasting her light locks, Emilia’s blunt lob brought a touch of edge to the awards – and we love how fierce she looked!

Kerry Washington

Playing one of our most-loved characters in Scandal, we couldn’t wait to see Kerry Washington. She always looks incredible, no matter where she goes, and last night was no exception. For the Golden Globes this year, Kerry was all about the volume. To create the style, she combined a deep side part with beachy waves and plenty of texture.

Millie Bobby Brown

We adore Millie Bobby Brown, and the 13-year old Stranger Things star taught us all a thing or two about rocking an up-do on Sunday evening. To ensure her satin, backless dress from Calvin Klein by Appointment got the attention it deserved, her hair was scraped back in a neat topknot, with three braids added to the back. Her fans were curious to find out if the braids were a reference to ’11’, her character from the show, but Millie’s hair stylist Blake Erik (@blakeerik on Instagram) revealed it was simply a lucky coincidence!
