Hair of Fame Hero Caroline Kelly

We were delighted to ask our September Hair of Fame Winner, Caroline Kelly some questions on her winning.

Tell us about yourself and your career?

I have always had a deep rooted passion for the fashion and beauty industry, which led me to commence my training as a hair stylist at the age of 16 and set me on my career path.

I have spent 15 years working in a busy salon environment; perfecting my trade, keeping up to date with industry trends and building my hair styling portfolio. I am very proud to have just officially opened my own salon, The Hair Hut in my home town and I am thrilled to be a Great Lengths brand representative.

When did you start applying hair extensions?

I love to stay in touch with trends and what is heavily in fashion. I was first attracted to Great Lengths Extensions in 2012 having seen many Irish celebrities using the brand. I had my first set applied very soon after and I was hooked! I researched how to train to become a Great Lengths stylist and booked my training. I qualified in January 2013 and have been applying these amazing extensions ever since!

What do you love about Great Lengths?

I feel that the Great Lengths brand provides an experience from the consultation stage right through to the finished application. On a professional level, it is an absolute pleasure to work with such high quality products; the quality of the hair used in Great Lengths Extensions is second to none. The wide variety of colours in the swatch makes it very easy to colour match my clients perfectly to give them a flawless end result.
For me, the Great Lengths experience is summed up in my clients faces once their application has been completed; it is so rewarding to see delighted expressions and an obvious boost to self image.

What are your hair trend predictions for 2017?

There are so many amazing trends at the moment and lots of styles being recreated, but for me bobs are going to be a huge trend in 2017 and I predict that fringes will make a big comeback for the summer season. Also braids are so on trend right now & I think they’ll still continue to be popular in 2017.

I am excited to see how the Great Lengths range builds and moves into another year of on trend hair!
