The Wedding Show, Tatton Park; A Whirlwind of Wedding Hair Inspiration

When it came to giving ‘brides to be’ wedding hair inspiration for their big day, the Great Lengths stand was ‘the’ place to be at Bride; The Wedding Show, at Tatton Park.

With over 5,000 visitors attending the majestic 2 day event, including Coronation Street actress Tina Obrien, brides to be flocked to the stand, to get hints and tips on how to achieve their dream bridal hair.

With an expert team of Great Lengths stylists on hand and a model taking centre stage with a number of stunning bridal hair styles being created using Great Lengths pre-bonded hair extensions, on the exhibition stand, visitors were fascinated at just what could be achieved.

Whereas many ‘brides to be’ knew exactly what style they wanted for their big day, they were unsure of how to achieve the required length or thickness to accomplish their desired look. Cue Great Lengths; the perfect solution for any bride who desire additional volume or length, with a natural looking finish.

Visitors were pleasantly surprised at how undetectable Great Lengths hair extensions actually are, and how natural and seamless they look in hair down styles as well as up do’s.

For those who were in need of inspiration, the team finished off the looks with wedding hair accessories to compliment the stunning styles which had been created, so they could perfectly see the finished look of each bridal hair style, and envisage how this could work for them on their big day. Advice was also on offer as to which styles suit different wedding dress. For example, a classic up do will perfectly compliment a dress with a high neck or intricate detailing, whereas a glamorous and long hair down style will work beautifully with a bandeau style or a more simple and classic dress. It goes without saying the dress and the hair work in harmony, so it’s crucial to get it all right.

Fancying a bit of a change, some brides were thinking of changing their hair colour in the lead up to the big day, either biting the bullet and being bold with a colour they’ve always wanted to try to transform their look, or going back to a more natural colour. Either way, the Great Lengths team were on hand to give professional advice on how their hair could complete their whole look. We all know how important it is to get the hair right for the big day, and in turn how stressful the preparations can be in the lead up. But when it comes to hair the emphasis really was on the fact it doesn’t need to be stressful.

We generally advise brides to book in for a consultation with a Great Lengths Certified Salon or extentionist 3-4 months, or at least 4 weeks prior to the wedding day. This allows enough time to choose and trial the dream hairstyle. As our pre-bonded hair extensions are so discreet they eliminate the risk of any bumps and work alongside natural hair, giving the freedom to be styled however desired. It goes without saying the dress and the hair work in harmony, so it’s crucial to get the perfect bridal hair. After all, the memories and the photos are set to last a lifetime.

Here’s to all of the beautiful brides to be we spoke to at the show. We wish them a wonderful wedding with incredible wedding hair.
