Time to kick those wellies off and wipe off that UV paint! Another muddy weekend at Glastonbury festival is over. And, as ever, there were oodles of celebrities sporting some terrific tresses. With the likes of Florence Welsh and Paloma Faith tearing up the main stage there was plenty of hairspiration to go round. Take a look at our top picks from this years Glasto’ for some fab festival styles.
Alexa, Adele and Caroline Flack all wore their bobs with a beachy, tousled texture. We love this style, its effortlessly cool and takes a classic one-length bob to a whole new level. For this look to work well, your bob needs to have plenty of weight. Add volume and bulk your bob out with Great Lengths hair extensions in classic base shades, matched with your natural hair. Then add texture with a waving wand and plenty of dry shampoo.
When hair starts feeling a little grim, clipping it up and adding a headscarf a la Rita Ora is always a good option. Paloma Faith opted for a loose quiff and a hood combination, again hiding any slightly greasy roots. To keep a messy up-do in place during hours of dancing, apply a styling powder like I.C.O.N. Texturiser to the roots. This powder not only dries out grease and helps encourage volume, but also holds hair grips down – stopping them from sliding out of silky hair.
Long locks can be tricky to tame especially when showers and shampoo aren’t options. Rather than trying to keep locks looking lovely, Daisy Lowe, Cressida Bonas and Laura Whitmore all let their tresses fall free and embraced a few tangles and a bit of extra ‘outdoor’ texture. A good way to prep long hair for a festival is with a tight plait. This imparts hair with a gorgeous wavy texture, which can last for several days.
