Congratulations to our latest Hair of Fame Hero, Niav Brennan. Her stunning Great Lengths transformation earned her this sought after accolade for April. We caught up with her to find out more about her career and love of Great Lengths hair extensions.
Tell us about yourself and your career I started training as a hairdresser about ten years ago in a local salon, in my hometown of Bray. I was exposed to many different hairdressing skills here, making me an extremely versatile hairdresser. I moved on to work in TV, which was an amazing experience and I learnt a lot from the fast paced environment. I later returned to my roots; working in a salon environment, and soon after opened my own salon in Bray – I couldn’t be happier!
When did you start applying hair extensions?
I was taught how to apply extensions during my first job in Bray, which is why I was then appointed to apply hair extensions for The Vikings. Once I returned to my roots as a salon hairdresser, I was applying Great Lengths day in, day out so I would definitely say my experience and skills developed during that time period.
What do you love about Great Lengths?
I love how natural Great Lengths feel and look, and the fact that they cause no damage to your natural hair. Another massive bonus is that they are so easy to work with; I have never encountered any problems with Great Lengths and would never use anything else. Ultimately, the satisfaction on my client’s faces says it all.
What are your hair trend predictions for 2016?
I have seen a huge demand for hair extensions since the beginning of this year and I think this is only going to increase throughout 2016. I attribute a lot of this to social media – getting your client’s transformations up on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram is a great way to get your skills and the Great Lengths brand noticed.
