It’s pretty hard to ignore the huge 90s revival that’s happening at the moment! You can’t walk into a store without noticing the vast array of crop tops, high waisted baggy jeans, backpacks, platform shoes and of course the 90s classic, the choker – it’s like we’ve stepped into an episode of Dawson’s Creek and we love it!
It seems it’s not just clothes that have had the 90s treatment, as designers at Fashion Week were spotted sending their models down the runway with hair looks from the decade. Marc by Marc Jacobs showed rave-inspired hair with textured faux–hawks, as seen on Gwen Stefani back when she rocked the look with her band No Doubt, and Sophia Webster championed long dreadlocks and 90s knots. Other designers such as McQueen and Lulu & Co also drew inspiration from the 90s with rave references – it’s safe to say this trend isn’t going anywhere just yet!
Celebs seem to be loving these 90s hair looks too, with Rita Ora donning a very similar style to the models at Marc Jacobs. Cara Delevingne also went for the twisted bun look on ‘The Tonight Show’ with Jimmy Fallon, and of course when it comes to 90s style you cannot forget Miley Cyrus!
So why not have a go at this 90s hair trend – Great Lengths can help you get the look using our Fastrack Service and GL Apps tape in hair for a temporary ‘rave’ colour fix. Our variety of fashion shades will instantly add some 90s grunge to your locks – you could even try and recreate Kylie Jenner’s 90s inspired blue dip dyed hair!
