After much anticipation, Great Lengths are proud to announce they have achieved the Investors In People recognition. To qualify for the UK’s leading people management standard, Great Lengths had to prove their people practices through a thorough assessment involving one-on-one staff interviews. Confirmation of the recognition followed with a glowing report covering Great Lengths achievements and working environment and suggestions for further development and growth. Reaching the finals of the National Business Awards late last year followed by this highly recognised standard all comes as a result of Great Lengths growing success and proven high standards, making it the start of a prosperous 2010.
The aim for Investors In People is to improve the way in which organisations manage and develop their employees, leading to business improvement. To achieve this goal the main two objectives as discussed with Great Lengths were to;
- Establish how deeply the company values are embedded, in particular how they steer the way the company builds and maintains customer relationships
- To provide ideas for continuous improvement
Through the assessment it was clear that Great Lengths had already achieved results due to the way their values have been rooted through the company. “The company has gone from strength to strength with unprecedented financial and sales results. This success can be attributed to strong leadership and adherence to sound people management/people development practises underpinned by the company’s core values: ethicality, brand superiority and creativity”. As leaders in 100% human hair extensions Great Lengths remain at the top of the hair extensions industry with their success and achievements to date, applying for Investors In People was therefore a natural step in highlighting the brand on a professional working level. Great Lengths will now implement the Investors In People Improvement Plan objectives into the company for a follow up review in 18 months time.
“It is our people who enable us to attain our challenging business objectives. Our people practices are a significant factor in the delivery of our core value ‘Brand Superiority’ which sets high standards in all aspects of the way we do business. We are proud to have our people practices recognised by the achievement of Investors in People status.” Carol Leo, Great Lengths Finance and Operations Director
